Outline Schedule and Topics
12:30 Lunch and Networking
13:30 Portfolio Management Case Study - Led by Thierry Ackermann
- Thierry will share with us the techniques he has applied at his latest engagement to establish the practice of Portfolio Management, showing some of the challenges and outcomes of his work.
- A brief talk will be followed by an open discussion
We will do a quick poll and vote on the challenges facing the Strategic IT Partnering role with the aim to provide diagnosis and solutions from within the group present. The "winner" of the vote will describe the challenge and will choose the kind of facilitation. This facilitation could take the form of different workshop activities such as debating, brainstorming and other problem solving techniques.
15:50 Masterclass - Portfolio Management - Led by Jon Baxter
We will do a role based scenario where participants will form groups to become the governance board for managing new demand into the Pipeline at New Frontier Bank (a case study in our workshops). You'll decide on :
- what new ideas to progress that would best fulfill the outcomes required by the bank; and
- adjusting the intake based on lessons learnt from the results of previous feasibility studies.
Depending on number of participants and time left you'll report back your observations to the rest of the group. Online participants will use virtual breakout rooms.
